I just wanted to flashback to October a few years ago when I was invited to Taiwan to do some BMX shows. We were over there for about a week to do shows for a big event. We spent the first few days building the ramp, which was no easy task. Turns out they don’t really have the typical hardware/lumber stores that we take for granted. Just for example, we needed a few hundred screws to put the ramp together and they only sold them in packs of 10. The wood we got was also very weak, which is why the ramp broke the last day of shows.

This was my first time out of the country, and wow, did it open my eyes to what’s out there. Some more memorable events were heading out to the crowded night markets and watching Will and Josh drink cobra blood, unknowingly giving the bellboy $100 for taking my bags to my room, seeing a family of four fit on a moped, ordering an entire table of food by pointing at one thing on the menu, standing at the top of tallest building in the world(at the time), and performing in front of 60,000 people right next to the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall. All in all an amazing trip!
