C4D Scripts: Save-At-Render
Hey C4D users, here’s a set of 3 scripts I made that could possibly save your butt someday. These scripts essentially save your scene to your render location automatically when you hit render. This may seem like a unnecessary step but having the scene file that you rendered your files with right there in your render fold is very beneficial. How many times have you gone back to a render looking to just make a small tweak but maybe you’ve gotten far in your project to remember when your scene was at that state. Also you can never have enough backups of your scenes, this is just a fail safe. I made these as a request to a co-worker but never realized myself how useful it is. Just do it, you’ll thank me later:)
There are 3 scripts one for Picture Viewer, Team Render and Render Queue. I’d recommend either docking these in your layout or replacing the render shortcuts with these.
– Renders your scene to the picture viewer while also saving a copy of your scene to the file output folder.
– Renders your scene with Team Render while also saving a copy of your scene to the file output folder.
– Opens up the render queue and adds your scene to the list while also saving a copy of your scene to the file output folder.
